McAllister Hall and the Refectory were modernized and expanded. BRH provided complete permitting and design, including assistance with the City of Seattle Master Use Permit, Conditional Use Permit and a SEPA for the accessory parking lot. Our design alleviated local road congestion during the construction phase.
The school added two separate classroom buildings to the Upper School campus. BRH’s civil design included a realignment of the access roadway, the drop off area and parking. The work involved drainage system revisions, detention design, biofiltration and modifications to the fire system feeder lines
BRH designed a 40,000 square foot parking area, with an associated stormwater detention system and water quality engineering. BRH was also on site during the construction phase, to ensure that the project was constructed as designed and approved.
This is a 35-acre site in Woodinville with school buildings, athletic fields and parking. We provided complete civil plans, specifications, and engineering for grading, and utilities, plus on and off-site street improvements. In addition to water and sewer utilities, BRH coordinated designs for power, telephone, gas, and cable television.
Wissner Hall, in Seattle, required grading and erosion control plans, a parking layout, storm, water and sewer design, street vacation services and permit coordination. Critical slope areas had to be assessed and factored into the design. The scope also included a design for the upgraded athletic facility.
As part of an on-call for the Northshore School District, BRH provided a drainage study on the Woodinville High School site. Drainage studies are vital in planning runoff control and determining the most efficient way to manage water quality.
BRH has been involved in all of the recent residence developments. These include Mercer Court, Cedar Apartments, Elm Hall, Poplar Hall, Alder Hall, and Terry and Lander Halls. Typical surveys included topographic and utility surveys, right-of-way base maps, as well as as-builts of tunnel location and dimensions below several buildings.
BRH provided a topographic base map showing all features such as buildings, retaining walls, adjacent roadways, paths, and underground utilities for Paccar and Dempsey Halls. Vaults were also shown, as were fiber-optic and secondary power lines, plus we provided a 3D “as-built” survey of the tunnel system.
This new K-6 school is a 2-story, 66,500 square foot facility serving over 450 students. BRH was contracted to provide a full-site topographic and utility survey for this demolish and reconstruction project. The scope included the provision of spot elevations on a 50-foot grid to generate contours for the design team.
